HOW DOES LIFESTYLE MEALS™ WORK?

We are a local company that prepares and delivers your meals on a weekly basis.  The program is designed to meet most everyone’s nutritional requirements while providing food specifically designed with lower quantities of sodium and sugar.

Fresh food is packaged and flash frozen each week to provide meals that contain minimal amounts of chemicals and preservatives that are infused to extend shelf life.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

To sign up online, you can simply go to the Meal Plans tab above, choose which meal plan you would like to purchase and order online. If you would like to pay later or at the door, please fill free to select the pay at door with cash/credit option and you will be able to pay for your food at the time of delivery.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SIGN UP?

Once we have your order, you will receive a confirmation email of the status of your order. Your food will be delivered the next Sunday or Monday after your purchased your meals. If we are booked for that week or are unable to deliver your food the next weekend, we will call you and reschedule another day that is convenient for you for delivery.

HOW SOON WILL I RECEIVE MEALS?

Your start date depends on when you place your order.  Because we cook your meals fresh to order and our culinary team needs time to procure and prepare and freeze your meals, so we need at least 3 business days before we can start your deliveries.  For example, if your order is received by Thursday at 5pm, you will start on Sunday.

HOW DO I PAUSE MY MEAL SERVICE?

Going out of town?  No problem.  Just email us the dates of when you would like to put a hold on receiving meals.  Your meal service will automatically resume based on the start and end dates you put in your pause request.  All pause requests take 3 business days to take effect on your account.

HOW LONG CAN I PAUSE FOR?

We do not have a maximum pause limit.

 

Meal Plan Questions

HOW OFTEN DO YOU CHANGE YOUR MENU?

Our team of Executive Chefs designed a menu rotation for 3 weeks. Once you have completed all three, then the menu starts back from the beginning. Overall, we have approximately 70 different menu items that you would be receiving in our rotation.

DO YOU HAVE GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS?

Unfortunately, we do not have a gluten free menu at this time. However, we are in the process of creating one, which should be available in a couple of months.

DO YOU PROVIDE SNACKS?

We do not provide snacks, since most of our meals are high in fiber and protein, which stabilizes blood sugar and lengthens the time of feeling hungry again. So for the average person, a snack would not be necessary. But if you require extremely high caloric meals for the day, this plan would work if you subsidized with additional snacks of your choice.

WHAT ARE THE CALORIE RANGES OF THE MEAL PLANS?

Our calorie counts for breakfast typically average 395 calories per meal. The lunch average is around 425 calories per meal, since we provide more complex carbs in the afternoon to keep you energized. The average calorie count of our dinners is 350 per meal. These meals are lower since they are designed to be leaner for your last meal of the day. Nutritional information on all meals can be viewed on our website. You’ll be able to view calories by meal as well as a cumulative total number of calories per day for your meal plan.

WHAT KIND OF WHOLE GRAINS ARE SERVED?

We use a variety of whole grains with high nutritional value.  Brown rice, wild rice and whole wheat pasta are some examples.

HOW MANY DAYS DOES THE FOOD LAST?

Our food is made fresh daily and flash frozen to preserve freshness. Frozen foods typically provide more nutrients, since the subsequent flash-freeze locks the vegetables in a relatively nutrient-rich state to prevent nutrient degradation.

CAN I FREEZE MY MEALS?

Our meals are delivered frozen and are meant to be kept in your freezer. Most meals will also last a full week if placed in the refrigerator.

WHAT ORDER SHOULD I EAT MY MEALS IN?

The order in which you consume your meals really doesn’t matter.  We do recommend that you eat a meal every 3-4 hours for best results.  The idea is to never feel too full or hungry.  This is what optimizes your metabolic rate to keep you satisfied throughout the day.

HOW DO I HEAT MY MEALS?

All meals are packaged in microwave safe containers for easy heating.  To warm your meals, open container and place the cover back on the container leaving one corner cracked open for ventilation.  For best results, heat on VEGETABLE mode until desired temperature is reached.  All microwaves vary.  Warming times can range anywhere from 2-4 minutes.  We do not recommend heating our meals on the HIGH setting as it can overcook the food.  Container may be hot.  Carefully remove container from microwave and enjoy.

WHAT ARE THE SODIUM LEVELS LIKE IN YOUR MEALS?

While we make best efforts to stay below the USDA guidelines of 2300mg of sodium per day, we cannot guarantee a minimum sodium content level by meal.  Any meals that contain seasoning or sauces, tend to be higher in sodium.

ARE THE MEALS APPROPRIATE FOR DIABETICS?

Yes, our meals are diabetic friendly, in that they do not cause a spike in blood sugar as compared to other types of meals.  We primarily use complex carbs which are high in fiber, take longer to break down and move slower through your system so sugar levels do not spike as quickly.

WHAT ARE THE CARB COUNTS IN MEALS?

We make best efforts to keep our carb ranges around 30 grams per meal.

WHERE CAN I GET NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT MY MEALS?

We provide detailed nutritional information on our website for your convenience.

HOW MUCH FOOD DO YOUR CONTAINERS HOLD?

The normal portion sizes for breakfasts are 8 oz. with entrees being 12 oz. The larger meal program food portions are 10 oz.-12 oz. for breakfast and 20 oz. for entrees.

HOW DO I AVOID RECEIVING MEALS WITH INGREDIENTS I DON’T CARE FOR?

You can set up to 3 food dislikes in your account.  Just email the ingredients that you would like to avoid, and we will make the proper substitutions.

WHAT DO I DO IF THE MEALS I ORDERED ARE NOT CORRECT?

Please contact Customer Service and we will resolve the situation immediately.

WHAT IS YOUR FOOD ALLERGY POLICY?

Lifestyle Meals cannot accommodate customers with severe or life threatening food allergies.  By signing up for Lifestyle Meals, you agree to our terms and conditions and understand that Lifestyle Meals is not responsible for any food related allergic reactions whether it be mild or severe.  We prepare our food in a facility that handles nuts, gluten, dairy, shellfish and other common food allergens.  If you have a severe food allergy, we cannot serve you.

Billing and Referral Program

HOW DOES THE BILLING SYSTEM WORK?

We only use an auto-renewal billing system upon the request of our customers.  If you choose auto-renewal billing, your credit card will automatically be re-billed when your available balance is insufficient to cover your next delivery.  You will be billed the same amount based on the plan that was originally signed up for excluding any initial promotional discounts.

HOW DO I CHANGE MY BILLING FREQUENCY?

To change to a different billing frequency, call or email us and we will make the necessary changes.

WHAT ARE MY PAYMENT OPTIONS?

We have weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly billing options.  We accept all major credit cards or Debit Cards.  We do not take checks.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you wish to discontinue your entire program, please email us and we will discontinue service.

DO YOU HAVE A REFERRAL PROGRAM?

Yes.  If you have someone you’d like to refer to us, just send an email and provide the contact name, email and phone number for the person you are referring.  If your referral signs up, we will credit your account $10 for each week the person orders. So two people would get you $20 off, three would be $30, etc…Or if you have a friend call in, simply ask them to give your name when we ask “how did you hear about us” and we will note your account for a day of complimentary meals.

 

Delivery Questions

WHERE DO YOU DELIVER?

See map of our delivery area on website. If you are unsure if your address is in our specified area of delivery, please email us. Some exceptions do apply (ie, work address with several delivery drop offs, etc.)

WHAT ARE MY DELIVERY OPTIONS?

We offer free delivery and you can choose the 3 days and delivery times to have your meals dropped off. Our delivery days are Sunday and Monday, from between 10am-3pm each of those days. We do not offer a pickup option.

WHAT IF I LIVE IN A GATED COMMUNITY OR CONDO?

If you live in a gated community or condo with a concierge or manned gate, please specify on the Checkout page when filling out delivery information so our drivers can gain access. If there is a unmanned gate, we will need to receive a gate code before your deliveries can begin. Please provide more specific directions to your apartment for quicker delivery. Lifestyle Meals cannot be held responsible for missed deliveries due to no access.

WHAT TIME DO YOU DELIVER?

We deliver on Sunday and Monday between the hours of 10am – 3am.  Your meals are packed in an insulated cooler bag and can be left outside for long periods of time (depending on outside weather conditions).

WHAT ARE YOUR MEALS DELIVERED IN?

Our meals are delivered in a thermally insulated cooler bag.

WHAT DO I DO WITH MY EMPTY COOLER BAG?

Please have bag available for return on next delivery schedule.

CAN YOU DELIVER AT A SPECIFIC TIME?

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a specific delivery time.  If necessary, we can give an estimated time of arrival within a one hour window.  We call or text when your food is 15 minutes away from arriving.

WHAT IF I NEED MY BAG DELIVERED IN A SPECIFIC PLACE AT MY HOME?

If you have any specific driver instructions for where to place your bag, please make sure to let your representative know at point of sale so we can make a note in our system for our drivers.

WHAT IF I FORGET TO LEAVE MY BAG OUT?

If you forget to return your empty bag on the day of delivery, please make sure to do so on your next delivery.

WHAT ARE YOUR DELIVERY FEES?

There are no delivery fees within our posted delivery area. If you are outside of that area, we charge a fee for each delivery based on distance.

ARE YOUR MICROWAVEABLE FOOD CONTAINERS RECYCLABLE?

Our containers are made of PET recyclable material.  While we don’t take our containers back, they are recyclable.  We encourage you to re-use your containers or recycle them.  We are unable to accept used containers back into our facility.
